Product Description
Rat alpha-2–macroglobulin is a tetrameric serum protein with a monomer molecular weight of ~163 kDa. It is a positive acute phase reactant, the levels of which can increase 100-fold or more during the acute phase response. It is purified from acute phase serum using a combination of gel filtration, ion-exchange and affinity chromatography steps.
